The back side of these gems are opaque white plastic, so unless they're carefully placed they might look a little awkward amidst the "treasure pile."

These will work easily with our treasure chests for You are a Gem; Our volunteers are a Treasure.  I'm using mardi gras beads, gems, costume jewelry to have treasure chests overflowing with bright, fun treasures!  These just add a little pop of color and brilliance...perfect.
