Post-Thanksgiving Family Time

Full from ThanksgivingThanksgiving dinner is over, leftovers are in the fridge, and the house is finally empty of guests. We’ve been thankful for the blessings of the past year - health, happiness, family, pets - the list goes on. Historically, this holiday was used to celebrate and respect the Native Americans who taught the pilgrims how to cook. The Pilgrims would not have survived that first November in the new world without the help of the native people. But what about post-Thanksgiving traditions?

Some families like to take walks after eating such a large meal while other take naps to sleep off the food coma. With all the deals that happen on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, many savvy shoppers plan their routes. Most common is getting everyone into the holiday spirit. Christmas trees are lit, music is played, and holiday movies are added to the queue.
