The teen actor who is cast as the royal messenger in our play didn't like the look of the babyish red-yellow-blue toy trumpet I bought, so I needed to get a more dignified prop (I am using a recorded trumpet blast, so the sound of the trumpet doesn't matter).
I found this silver-colored plastic toy trumpet and it looked great, both online and in my messenger's hand. But it was the price (under $4) really "blew me away!"

these were great. Looked fab on display, and then we used them as prizes @ the end of the party (best costume, most dramatic, etc.)
